Iconic actor and filmmaker Kamal
Haasan celebrated his 59 birthday by interacting with as many fans as he could
at his office on Eldams Road, Thursday morning through afternoon.Dressed in
all-white kurta pajama, the actor sent the crowd that gathered outside Rajkamal
Films International into raptures on Thursday afternoon as he waved from the
terrace at his fans.He held his hands together in traditional ‘namaskaram’ and
eventually requested them to clear the road for traffic.The overjoyed fans also
set off a few rounds of firecrackers that burst with a thundering noise and
littered the Eldams Road stretch with pieces of newspaper. This was also
cleared up within a few minutes.
Through the day, the actor met a
steady stream of fans and celebrities at the office.The social service
organisation that he runs, the Kamal Hassan Narapani Iyakkam, gave away ten
tailoring machines, two tri-cycles and three computers to selected persons from
the poorer sections of the society, on the occasion.R. Thangavelu, who is among
the coordinators for the organisation, said fans from various parts of the
State and country had come to catch a glimpse of the superstar.Fans also said
they were eagerly awaiting Kamal Hassan’s next feature film ‘Vishwaroopam-Part
2’.
