Veteran Malayalam actor and
producer Augustine (52) passed away at a private hospital here on Thursday
morning due to liver-related illness. He was under going treatment in hospital.Augustine
has acted in more than 100 films mainly in comedy roles. He was Director
Ranjit's regular cast.Born in Kozhikode, he has two daughters, actress Ann
Augustine and Jeethu. He is survived by his wife Hansiamma.He had suffered a
stroke in 2010 and continued to act in movies even after that.Some of
Augustine's famous films were Devasuram, Sabayam, Aaraam Thampuran, Chandralekha
and Indian Rupee. His last film was director Joy Mathew's Shutter.
