Infosys said it will manage a range of applications for BMW worldwide under a new five-year contract between the Indian IT consultant and the German premium car maker.
Infosys said it will manage applications and services including BMW’s global web infrastructure, content management, SAP basic operations and business intelligence systems.
BMW will be able to reduce costs and boost performance as a result of the pact, Infosys said.
As part of the agreement, the Indian group will establish a local delivery center in Munich, where BMW is headquartered. The new center will also boost the presence of Infosys in Germany, which is one of its major European growth markets.
